Since God loves the world, and is already active in the world we can only participate in God's mission, God's great love story, if we are active participants where we live. To share the story of God's love in Christ Jesus adequately, we need to be engaged around us. The following questions are designed to help us engage our world out of a missional identity. Please feel free to use as is appropriate:

What story/stories have we participated in or observed recently in our world?

What does this/do they stir within us?

What is causing this stirring?

How does it/do they relate to God's story in the world?

Where would we wish to see God active in the world and/or in this story?

Why might God's story run differently from how we would wish?

Could we have missed some of God’s story? Sometimes when we're reading or listening to a story we do miss part of it.

How does our story and how do the stories around us square with God’s vision for the world, as revealed in the Scriptures?

How is God calling us to join our stories, and those around us, with God's story of love in Christ Jesus?

And your church? How is your community of faith participating in God's story?
