Understanding ourselves as sharers in God's story, witnesses, is key in cultivating a deliberate and engaged missional identity. This is a study you can use to help think through what this means.

  1. What is a witness?
  2. What does a witness do?
  3. What is it like being a witness in a court of law? How can you find out?

Click on the link at the side to read the following article and see what you can learn about being a witness. Making a list of what you discover can be helpful.

Witness to the Best of Humanity

Read: Acts 10:34-43 and discuss:

  1. Of what was Peter witness?
  2. What did Peter say about what he had witnessed? What was the story he told? List what you find in this story.
  3. What else do you notice in this passage?

Notice that Peter witnessed/shared his story of God's love with both actions and words.

Do an artistic rendering of the ways in which you will witness/share your story of God's love in the coming week, i.e. draw, dramatize, use clay etc.
